How to make a spinning CD video

1. Open Vinylspinn and choose CD under Disc type.
2. Upload your cover art — unlike vinyl, it is printed across almost the whole disc, not just a small label.
3. Pick a background colour or image, then set the spin speed.
4. Choose Post (1:1) or Story (9:16) and export a GIF or MP4.

What the CD looks like

Your artwork covers the disc surface, framed by a chrome rim and a chrome hub around the centre hole. A soft, rainbow-coloured holographic sheen — based on a photo of a real CD — glints across the top so the disc reads as shiny instead of flat.

Put the CD in a jewel case

Switch Presentation to Case to show the disc behind a clear jewel-case frame with hinges and a spine. Choose Sleeve instead if you want the disc sliding out of a square cover.

Designing artwork for a CD

• Because the image fills the whole disc, design for a circle: keep faces, logos and text away from the corners of the square.
• The centre hole and hub hide the middle of the image, so don't put anything important dead centre.
• Square images of at least 1000 × 1000 px keep the artwork sharp in a 1080p export.
